Shoshone Indians
This is a picture of Shoshone Indians and where they live.
The Shoshone Indians were very skilled horsemen. This happens to be because their ancestors brought horses with them when they came to the country. Because of the horses they often were nomads and did little farming. Since they did not farm they needed lots of area to hunt and gather their food. Their land was often sought out by settlers.
SHELTER
The Shoshone Indians lived in simple wikiups. Their homes were very small, only four people could fit in one wikiup. a wikiups was mostly made out of wooden poles and tall grass .In the winter they covered their homes in buffalo hide to insulate their homes.
